Mount Everest Foundation
Supporting the exploratory

Founded in 1955, the Mount Everest Foundation (MEF) funds exploratory scientific and mountaineering expeditions across the globe.

Jointly administered by members of the Alpine Club and the Royal Geographical Society, the MEF has provided support to some of the most significant mountaineering and scientific expeditions of the last century.

Our focus remains on supporting those expeditions that endeavour to reach previously unclimbed peaks, unexplored regions and gather new knowledge - whether geographic or scientific. To find out if your expedition qualifies for MEF funding, please take a look at our Who We Fund section.
